What Is The Definition Of End Rail In Billiards?

1. The end rails are the two shorter portions of rail on a billiard table. The top is called the head rail, and the opposite side is called the bottom rail or foot rail.

End rails vary in length depending on the type of billiard table. A standard billiard pocket or pool table has two acceptable measurements. The World Pool-Billiard Association states that table models can be 9 feet x 4.5 feet or 8 feet x 4 feet. Other billiard tables range from 10 feet x 5 feet to 11 feet 8.5 inches x 5 feet 10 inches.
