1. This is a strategy used in basketball where a team will sacrifice size and strength in exchange for speed and outside shooting. Many times, it is the center who is replaced in favor of someone who’s smaller and a better perimeter scorer.

This is an offensive strategy used in baseball where a team tries any means necessary to get runners on base, and then will methodically advance the runners using base hits, bunts, stealing bases or sacrifice hits. Teams will rely on this method usually when they need to score one-run to win or tie a game, rather than rely on home runs and extra-base hits.
